Stewardship is a very important part of our Blueways Program  and you can help by  either adopting a landing, waterway, or island.  Groups agree to pick up litter at least four times  a year for a two year commitment-You can also do a one-time cleanup. Keep Berkeley Beautiful provides the bags, grabbers and gloves.

Absolutely not! The price of a canoe or kayak and gear can be very affordable. If you are looking to rent a kayak or canoe for the day, there are a variety of places you can rent from!

You can combine many other activities with your paddling experience. Just to name a few, bird and nature watching are a natural byproduct of paddling. The stealth of canoes and kayaks increase the opportunities for nature photographers as well. For the history buffs, there is an opportunity to experience the sights and sounds as well as view some of the more historically important ruins and trails that have survived through the years. For the fisherman, the stealthy nature of the craft while fishing combined with the relaxed pace of movement can contribute to a greater understanding and appreciation of your quarry. You can combine your paddling experience with a family picnic and a swim or even enjoy primitive camping in a secluded section of the county. Opportunities are many and varied

Paddling is a wonderful environmentally friendly form of low impact exercise and recreation that is well suited for the entire family.

Maybe you do not already own a kayak or canoe, don't worry, there are places you can rent them from in Berkeley County!
Blueway Adventures offers kayak rentals. They even offer tours on some our more popular trails, like Quenby-Huger Creek and Wadboo Creek.
